A development of 118no. new dwellings of varying size, ranging from 1 bedroom flats to 4 bedroom houses in the village of Hambrook in Chichester District Council. The design of the houses is sympathetic with its rural setting and the overall development includes large landscaped communal green spaces.
Acting as Employer’s Agent and Clerk of Works for the 35 affordable dwellings on behalf of Aster Group, we liaised between our Client and the Developer to ensure that our Client’s requirements were met. This meant assessing the design in the early stages with comparisons against Employer’s Requirements, analysing the project cash flow, and advising on the Employer’s choice items.
Throughout the project Churchill Hui carried out regular site visits to ensure that the construction of the units was well executed, issued monthly Payment Notices and monitored the progress of planning conditions and Building Control.
Towards the conclusion of the project we led the snagging, de-snagging and handover process. This involved liaising with the Developer to ensure that the units were finished to Churchill Hui’s high expectations, organising the familiarisation day, reconciling all handover paperwork and issuing the Practical Completion Certificate.
